The library can be downloaded on GitHub and then simply needs to be placed in the Arduino libray folder. You need to adjust the window size according to your needs when instantiating the AnalogSmooth object.įloat analogSmooth100 = as100.analogReadSmooth(analogPin) Choosing a large window size will smoothen the output considerably but will also slow down detection of actual signal changes. You can define how many readings you want to average (window size). The analogReadSmooth() function averages consecutive output readings. This can be very useful when used with potentiometers, temperature sensors or similar devices. I will give this a go now, much appreciated.I wrote a Arduino library to smoothen jitter in analog output signals. That is quite deep in the bowels of the folder structure! the pins_arduino.h is my normal go-to when I am not sure, but it didn't help me in this case. packages/arduino/hardware/mbed_rp2040/2.2.0/cores/arduino/mbed/targets/TARGET_RASPBERRYPI/TARGET_RP2040/TARGET_RASPBERRY_PI_PICO/PinNames.h Thanks I think this is what you are referring to also, as well as p0 through p29. I will just point to '4' rather than GP4 in the digitalwrite statement now and see if that works, as it should as you have indicated. Which is why I was asking the question of what term I need to use. When I was playing around yesterday, doing setting say GP4 to output, and then setting it high and low, did not do anything. I just was not sure how to pinpoint the pin I want to operate as I could not find a reference anywhere. Yes, very aware of physical vs software differences here. Sorry I mistyped in my original post, RE say Pin 4 is GP4. I already have a working demo here running with Serial1, as Serial did not work. Yes I realise it states UART0 on the pin diagram, but that is what I tried first and it doesn't match in reality. Thanks but 'Serial1' is what appears to make Pin1 and Pin2 operate as a Serial UART. You do not need to call pinMode () to set the pin as an output before calling analogWrite (). Unlike the PWM pins, DAC0 and DAC1 are Digital to Analog converters, and act as true analog outputs. Note here how there are no default pins for I2C bus 1, if you use that bus you have to specify them. The Arduino DUE supports analogWrite () on pins 2 through 13, plus pins DAC0 and DAC1. The same goes for the two I2C buses, pins 4 & 5 are the default pins for I2C bus 0, with alternate pins meaning you have to specify them. Arduino in fact can take a different input as its voltage reference 1. Using the input voltage as 5V reference, one can read the analog input of any given 0-5V voltage with a granularity of 5V/1024 4.88 mV (hint: dont expect accuracy to be anywhere near that number). Using the faded colour alternative pins means to need to specify the pins you want to use. Arduino boards are equipped with analog inputs. Note how pins 0 & 1 are a stronger shade of the colours on the other pins, this indicates that these are the default pins. So you will see you can have serial communication coming from pins 0 & 1 or 16 & 17 or 16 & 17. pinMode (Ax, INPUTPULLUP) makes it more clear what you are doing, I think. Pins A0 to A5 are digital pins with analog read as a special function. Other boxes are alternative uses for the pin number. The analogRead () function takes care of setting up the pin. The Green boxes containing the GP0 numbers are what you should use in your code and are the same as Arduino Pin numbers. Also where as you can have a pin 0 in software, you can't have a pin 0 as a physical pin. For example the Uno has no simple physical scheme numbering you can follow. Perhaps the only use is in wiring diagrams, but again is rarely used in the Arduino world ether mainly because different versions of the Arduino have different physical forms. Otherwise yes:- the 1 in the grey box is the physical pin number and as such is something you never refer to in code. Well first off it is not used with Serial1 but with Serial0 as the label says. Analog I/O analogRead() analogReference(). This page is also available in 2 other languages. Pin1 is the UART0 TX, which is used with Serial1 it seems, and is labelled GP0. My best advice for this would be to find someone or some enterprise that can practice the good way from your STL to have the STEP file you want. For instance, I know that Catia, SpaceClaim or 3-Matic are programs that work very well for your issue, but they are both very far from affordable or easy to handle if you aren't a CAD designer.Īnother bad way would be to pass through a 100% automatic reconstruction/conversion to STEP, but it would make something not exactly accurate to the original part, and may not be of any use depending of your application. I don't know any being free, and they all require extensive experience, expansive licenses and a bunch of time generally. The good way to do so, is to go through a reverse engineering program that handles better these troubles. It could then export it to a STEP file, but this will make a huge, incredibly heavy file difficult to handle (I've seen STEP files over 300 MB while the STL was less than 10 MB). What will be done if you import a STL file to a standard CAD program, it will consider each triangle as a defined unique surface, and in most cases, the standard CAD program will have a lot of difficulties to handle the STL. What you are asking, the reversed, is complicated. Manual programs would require time and knowledge of the needed tools (Inkscape can do it too, in case of images).įor the record, asking for a STEP file to be a STL file is as easy as transforming a vector graphic to a raster graphic, it's a one-click transformation. It's basically the difference between raster graphics and vector graphics: most fully automatic reconversions programs (such as Inkscape in case of images), would create something quite approximate to the real shape. However, this is a delicate process which isn't easy for beginners in CAD engineering.Īs said before, the STL files is a tessellation of a surface with triangles, while STEP defines precisely the surface with curves. For the record, the manufacturing process isn't recorded within these files format (at least not yet) so you don't have to specify the final use. I don't know much about plastic injection molding companies, but I do manipulate a lot STEP, STL files and I do know that it is possible to achieve "a good way to convert STL to STEP file format ". A good way to convert a 3D print file like STL to STEP a useable file format for plastic injection molding companies Monthly payment = mortgage principal x (1+ monthly interest rate)^number of payment periods)/(1+monthly interest rate)^number of payment periods -1)Ĥ00,000 x (1+ 0.00459)^300)/(1+0.00489)^300 - 1) = $2,301ĭepending on the size of your down payment, you will either be classified as a low-ratio borrower (meaning you’ve paid more than 20% down), or a high-ratio borrower (less than 20% down). Step 4: Apply the mortgage payment formula: Payment periods = number of years x 12 months Step 3: Calculate the number of total payment periods: Monthly interest rate = annual interest (%) / 100 / 12 months Take your 4.89% rate and divide by 12 to determine your monthly interest rate = 0.00489. Step 2: Determine your monthly interest rate Purchase price - down payment = mortgage principal Step 1: calculate your mortgage principal amount with the following formula: First, Let’s assume you are buying a home with an asking price of $500,000, and are making a down payment of 20% ($100,000), with a mortgage rate of 4.89%, and amortization of 25 years. While plugging your info into our calculator is a fast and convenient way to determine your mortgage payments, let’s break down the math. Condo fees (if applicable): The approximate dollar amount of any monthly condo fees you may be liable for.Down payment: The dollar amount that you are able to pay up front when purchasing your home.Home price: The dollar amount of your home.In order to effectively use this calculator, here is the information you’ll need to have: If you’re renewing or refinancing and know the total amount of the mortgage, use the “Renewal or Refinance” tab to estimate mortgage payments without accounting for a down payment. If you’re buying a new home, it’s a good idea to use the calculator to determine what you can afford before you start house-hunting. Additionally, you can use the calculator to estimate your total monthly expenses, see what your payments would be if mortgage rates go up and show what your outstanding balance will be over time. Our calculator also shows you what the land transfer tax will be, and approximately how much cash you’ll need for closing costs. You can change the size of your down payment and the payment frequency to see how your regular payment will be affected. It will automatically calculate the cost of mortgage default insurance. The calculator will now show you what your mortgage payments will be.īy default, the mortgage payment calculator will show four different monthly payments, depending on the size of your down payment. The calculator shows the best rates available in your province, but you can also add a different rate. Then, select an amortization period and mortgage rate. To use the calculator, start by entering the purchase price. The idea for this Minion costume actually came from a friend of mine. Making costumes is something that I really love and enjoy.

This is because some larger appliances may not be compatible due to the different voltages involved.Ī good option would be one of those multi-socket adapters with USB charging capabilities like this one which should provide plenty of flexibility. That said, it pays to double-check whether your particular device is suitable. This will ensure that all of your devices are compatible and ready to go once you arrive!Īll in all, an international power adapter designed for the USA will usually work just fine with Japanese outlets. If you’re unsure, consult an expert or buy a converter specifically designed for use in Japan before traveling. The other way around would fry your device in most cases. The good thing when going from Europe (240v) to Japan (100v) is that you most likely will not ruin your equipment if you plug it in and it cannot work with 100v. So make sure to check the label of your device to ensure compatibility. However, if the label says 110 or only 240v, then there is a high chance that it won’t work since Japan uses a different mains frequency than either Europe or USA.ĭifferent parts of Japan use different mains frequencies: 60 Hz which is used in the USA, and 50 Hz which is used in Europe. This voltage range means that it is compatible with both European and US standards, so you have no worries about whether or not it will be suitable. If the label on the device says for example 100-240v, 50/60 Hz (as it says on most laptop power supplies), then it WILL work in Japan. The answer also depends on the power adapter in question. The adapter should be designed for the local mains frequency. If it does, then your device should work just fine when plugged into an outlet in Japan using a US-designed adapter.īut if it doesn’t list this range of voltage and frequency, then you will need to purchase a different adapter in Japan. You will need to check that each device you want to plug into a socket in Japan supports the voltage and mains frequency provided by Japanese power outlets – normally 100-240v, 50/60 Hz. However, it’s important to distinguish between the physical plug shape and the voltage requirements of your device. The physical plug shape of power adapters from the USA and Japan are generally the same, so there should be no problem with physically connecting them to sockets in Japan. The short answer is yes, you can use a power adapter designed for the USA in Japan. Let’s find out in this article! Can You Use A Power Adapter Designed For the USA In Japan? This is because Japanese power sockets “appear physically identical” to US ones, although they do use a different voltage. If you’re looking to travel from the US to Japan, you may be wondering, “Can you use a power adapter designed for the USA in Japan?” |
